Biography
Bill Hoge was admitted to the Kentucky Bar Association in 1972. He has four decades of civil litigation and complex domestic relations case experience in Louisville, Kentucky. William L. Hoge, III is a trained divorce and Family Law mediator and a Collaborative Divorce and Family Law practitioner.
A Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, he is the former President of the Kentucky Chapter of the AAML as well as the former Chair of the Family Law Sections for both the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association.

Attorney William L. Hoge's practice concentrates almost exclusively in Family Law with particular emphasis in complex divorce actions.
Mr. Hoge received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Louisville in 1969, where he also attended Law School and from which he received his Juris Doctorate in 1972. Mr. Hoge attended the Hastings College of Law, College of Trial Advocacy in 1975; the University of Kentucky College of Trial Advocacy in 1986.
Mr. Hoge has extensive experience as a presenter as many Continuing Legal Education events on the subjects of Family Law, Domestic Violence, Collaborative Law, Ethics, Psychology, Trial Technique, Demonstrative Evidence and Mediation Training.
In addition to his membership and participation in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association, he is a member of the KBA Lawyers Helping Lawyers Committee and the KBA Child Protection & Domestic Violence Committee. Mr. Hoge is a former member and founding member of the American Bar Association's Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs and a member of the ABA Family Law Section.
Mr. Hoge is a past member of the Jefferson County Family Court's Family Support Center Advisory Committee, the Family Court Advisory Committee (Divorce Rules Committee Chair) and the Family Court Mediator Review Committee.
Mr. Hoge is also a member of the Kentucky Justice Association.
Mr. Hoge was honored by the Louisville Bar Association as the recipient of the 1999 Judge Richard A. Revell Family Law Practitioner of the Year Award.
Mr. Hoge is the co-author and publisher of Divorce in Kentucky The Dissolution Resolution System, an Interactive Organizer and Video, 1997 and has extensive experience as a CLE and motivational speaker before the ABA, AAML, KBA and LBA.
Mr. Hoge was the Assistant Jefferson County Attorney (1972-1976); the Chief Prosecutor for Jefferson County Attorney (1976-1982); the General Counsel to International Union of Electrical Workers, Local 761 at General Electric (1975-1988); the General Counsel to Kentucky State District Council of Carpenters, AFL-CIO (UBCJA) (1988-1991) and has been in General Private Legal Practice since 1972.
In addition to his many years of practice before the Jefferson County Circuit, Family and District Courts in Louisville, Mr. Hoge is admitted to and has practiced before the Kentucky Supreme Court (since 1972); the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals (since 1974); the U.S. District Court, Western District of Kentucky (since 1973); the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky (since 1975), and the U.S. Supreme Court (since 1975).
