Can Bill Hoge's more than 30 years of legal experience help you resolve your complex Family Law issues?

Attorney William L. Hoge, III has been practicing law in Louisville, KY for more than 30 years.  His three decades of experience and expertise as a divorce lawyer are available to help his clients resolve complex disputes in Family Law in Louisville and Jefferson County and in LaGrange and Oldham County.

Other lawyers within Mr. Hoge's office are available to handle divorce, post-divorce, custody and child support actions in Hardin, Bullitt and Spencer Counties, Kentucky as well as the creation of complex trusts and estate planning.

In February 2008, Bill Hoge was interviewed by Business First of Louisville, Kentucky for an upcoming article on hotly contested or high-conflict divorce actions.

In August 2007, Billy Hoge was interviewed by ABCNews.com for a story on trends in the filing of new divorces as summer draws to a close.  The story was published 08/28/2007 as "End of Summer, Time for a Divorce?  Divorce Lawyers Say More Couples Split Up at the End of Summer".  The story is available on the ABCNews.com website.  [This is an external link.  We have no control over how long ABC may choose to make this story available on-line.]

Mr. Hoge's law practice has been devoted for many years to handling divorce, domestic relations, parental rights, child visitation, child support, child custody, domestic violence, EPOs, DVOs, maintenance and alimony, division of marital property, restoration of non-marital property, establishment of paternity, parenting plans, co-parenting, property settlement agreements, post-divorce actions, annulments, QDROs (Qualified Domestic Relations Orders) for the division of pension and retirement benefits, as well as prenuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, business valuations and adoptions.

A big factor in Bill Hoge's many years of success as a Louisville divorce lawyer has been his willingness to embrace alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration and particularly collaborative law.

He was a founding member of the Kentucky Collaborative Family Law Network, a consortium of Louisville attorneys, financial professionals and mental health practitioners specially trained in the art of collaborative divorce.

Mr. Hoge was also one of the founders of Family Law Solutions, PLLC, a network of specially trained Louisville lawyers dedicated to the use of Family Law mediation to resolve difficult and complex divorce cases.

Bill Hoge's services as a mediator are also available to resolve even seemingly hopeless, high-conflict situations.

In addition to being a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1998 and former President of the AAML's Kentucky Chapter, Mr. Hoge is also a long-time active member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Louisville Bar Association.  He has served as Chair of both the KBA and the LBA's Family Law Sections and was the 1999 recipient of the LBA's Judge Richard A. Revell Family Law Practitioner of the Year Award.

In addition, he is a member of the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys and a frequent contributor to KATA's quarterly publication, Advocate.  His other bar-related memberships include:

He speaks regularly to bar associations across the country as well as community organizations and recovery groups on alcoholism, substance abuse and family dysfunction, including co-dependency.  He has substantial personal and professional experience in overcoming alcoholism, substance abuse and family dysfunction.  Please see our pages on the effects of drugs, alcohol and addiction in Family Law.

Mr. Hoge was one of the founders of the American Bar Association's Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs in 1987.  On October 3, 2007, Bill Hoge was chosen as the first ever recipient of the John W. "Jack" Keegan Award by the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs for his important role in starting this nationwide effort twenty years earlier.
